Welcome
Little Switzerland Resort and Campground is a peaceful and friendly place located just 2 miles north of Newaygo, Michigan. Our campground is nestled off of Pickerel Lake where you can enjoy 300 ft. of lake frontage with a private beach and swimming area. We welcome you to come share in the history of Little Switzerland. The main lodge became a place to rest and relax in the late 1800's and the campground began in the mid 1970's.
Our facility has 6 housekeeping cottages, two rental campers, a tiny house, and 80 campsites with water & electric. (RV max size up to 40 ft.) A boat launch is also available for our guests. Due to space restrictions, we do not allow pontoon boats.
We have a playground, basketball court, volleyball area, and pavilion to use during your stay. Fishing, sunbathing and water sports are excellent. The Dragon Trail bike and hiking trail system and public golf courses are a short drive away.
Our camp store is where you will find candy, a variety of grocery items, a lending library and fishing tackle and bait. The ice cream parlor will make you feel as if you've stepped back in time.
LP Gas, bait, and campfire wood is available.
Testimonials
Stayed in one of the campsites for a weekend in August and this place is a little paradise! The campsites have everything you need, including laundry facilities. The place is absolutely gorgeous and we'll maintained, plus everyone we met was super nice. The owners of the place are super accommodating and you can tell they put so much love into running the place. There's boats and golf carts available for rent and the store has everything you need for fishing the lake. The private beach is the only one around and has a jumping platform. The store sells all necessities and delicious ice cream and malts!! This place is a hidden gem, can't wait to be back!
Super great campground. Fantastic hosts! Campsites are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The campground sits on a chain of four lakes, with lots of things to do such as walking, golf cart rental, kayaks, and boating. They have eight cottage rental units that are cozy and clean, Wonderful swim area, fun ice cream/candy/supply store. Great place, great people!
We stopped for the Camp Newaygo Sing On The Lake, where girls from Camp Newaygo paddle over and sing camp songs to guest and the public. We stopped in and grabbed some ice cream before we left and talked to the owner who was absolutely lovely. We never knew this place existed and now have reservations for the end of August. Looking forward to our stay.
